Russian Football Union: ‘Ready to host Euro 2032 in place of Italy’

Milan, 27 October (LaPresse) – ‘Russia is ready to host Euro 2032 if it is taken away from Italy.’ Speaking to the Russian portal Sport.ru, the president of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Alexander Dyukov, said that Russia is ready to host the 2032 European Championship if Italy is unable to host the tournament. ‘Russia is always ready,’ Dyukov told a Sport24 correspondent. According to the Russian website, ‘Italy could lose the right to host Euro 2032, as UEFA has approved only one of the ten stadiums presented. Therefore, it is possible that the tournament will be entrusted entirely to the second host country, Turkey.’
