NBA: Golden State overwhelm Clippers, Knicks fall

Rome, 29 October (LaPresse) – In last night’s NBA action, the Golden State Warriors overwhelmed the Los Angeles Clippers at home (98-79), thanks in part to an excellent performance by Jimmy Butler III, who scored 21 points, added five rebounds and as many assists. New York fell on the Milwaukee court (121-111 final score). The Knicks’ superb performance by Jalen Brunson (36 points) was not enough to get the better of the Bucks, partly because Giannis Antetokoumpo scored 37 points. The Philadelphia 76ers narrowly defeated the Washington Wizards (139-134) with Tyrese Maxey scoring 39 points and serving up 10 assists. The Miami Heat defeated the Charlotte Hornets (144-117), thanks in part to Jaime Jaquez Jr.’s 28 points. Finally, the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Sacramento Kings (107-101), with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leading the way with 31 points.
