US-China, Trump-Xi meeting ends after one hour and forty minutes

Milan, Oct. 30 (LaPresse) – The meeting between the leaders of the United States and China, Donald Trump and Xi Jinping, held at a military base in Busan, South Korea, ended after one hour and forty minutes. At the end of the face-to-face, Trump and Xi walked out of the building side by side, chatting briefly in front of the cameras. “It will be a great success, I have no doubt,” Trump had said before the meeting, emphasizing that Xi was a “very tough negotiator.” Accompanying Trump were U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, and David Perdue, U.S. ambassador to China.
