Moscow: ‘Ready to halt hostilities for media access to Pokrovsk and Kupyansk’

Milan, 30 October (LaPresse) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the Ministry of Defence to grant foreign journalists access to areas where he claims Ukrainian forces are surrounded. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defence, which added that ‘the Russian command is ready to cease hostilities in these areas for 5-6 hours, if necessary, and to ensure unhindered entry and exit corridors for groups of foreign media representatives, including Ukrainian ones, provided that the safety of journalists and Russian military personnel is guaranteed’. “The Russian Ministry of Defence has received orders from the supreme commander of the Russian Federation to ensure free passage for foreign journalists, including Ukrainian ones, to visit the areas where Ukrainian troops are blocked in Krasnoarmeysk, Dimitrov and Kupyansk,” Moscow reported. Krasnoarmeysk is the Russian name for Pokrovsk.
