Milan, Nov. 4 (LaPresse) – “I did it.” These were the first words Vincenzo Lanni reportedly told the Carabinieri of the Milano Duomo Company—who tracked him down Monday evening near a hotel on Via Vitruvio in Milan—according to the detention report of the 59-year-old identified by his twin sister as the man who stabbed 43-year-old Anna Valsecchi on the morning in Piazza Gae Aulenti. Taken to the station, Lanni added: “I hope the woman I attacked is okay.” He explained that he had purchased the “kitchen knife not today” and that he threw away the jacket he was wearing at the time, which was later found in a bin at a bar in the Esselunga on Viale Famagosta.
