Washington, Nov. 6 (LaPresse) – The president of the United States, Donald Trump, said in an interview with Fox News that he described the speech by the new mayor Zohran Mamdani, who had said “I love New York,” as an angry speech and added that Mamdani should be much kinder to him. He stated that Mamdani should be a bit more respectful towards Washington and emphasized that he wants the city of New York to succeed. Trump also mentioned that Mamdani should contact them, noting that he is available and that it would be more appropriate for Mamdani to do so. The White House chief continued by saying that he had expected better results in New Jersey and had not anticipated that it would go very well in Virginia, noting that the candidate there did not have his strong support. He then defended the economic situation, after Democrats dominated Tuesday’s elections, claiming that prices are much lower but that his opponents had done a better job addressing the issue. He added that Republicans do not talk about it, do not discuss the term “economic accessibility,” and that the Democrats lie about it.
