Rome, 6 November (LaPresse) – Robert De Niro arrived at the Campidoglio to receive the Lupa Capitolina award from Mayor Roberto Gualtieri. He was welcomed at the side entrance on Via di San Pietro in Carcere by Alessandro Onorato, Councillor for Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion. Unlike usual, the ceremony was held privately as a sign of respect, according to the Campidoglio, for the death of Octay Stroici in the collapse of the Torre dei Conti. Outside, about fifty curious onlookers and fans waited for the New York actor of Italian origin, ready to have their posters autographed, posters that made him a Hollywood legend from “Taxi Driver” to “Raging Bull”.
