China, CNN: “Beijing engaged in a new arms race”

Milan, Nov 7 (LaPresse) – According to a new CNN analysis based on satellite images, maps, and government reports, China has launched a massive arms race since 2020 through the expansion of missile production sites. Over 60% of the 136 facilities linked to missile production or the Chinese army’s missile force, which controls China’s nuclear arsenal, have shown signs of expansion in satellite images. These sites, including factories and research and testing centers, have increased by more than 2 million square meters of built-up area between early 2020 and the end of 2025. New towers, bunkers, and embankments, consistent with weapons development, have appeared in satellite images of these growing sites. In some cases, missile components can even be seen.
