Rome, 9 November (LaPresse) – ‘We are committed to the process of recovering the bodies, even though this took place in the previous phase under complex and extremely difficult circumstances. We confirm that the recovery of the remaining bodies will require additional technical teams and equipment.’ This was stated by the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, as quoted by Al Jazeera. And while about 150 militiamen are trapped in the tunnels of Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip, in the area under the control of the Israeli army, they add: “The occupation has a responsibility to clash with our fighters in Rafah, who are defending themselves in an area under its control. Let the enemy know that the principle of surrender and surrender to the enemy does not exist in the Qassam Brigades’ dictionary. We are holding the mediators accountable and calling on them to find a solution to ensure the continuation of the ceasefire and prevent the enemy from using flimsy pretexts to violate it.”
