Dubai (United Arab Emirates), 11 Nov. (LaPresse/AP) – Yemen’s Houthi rebels have announced that they have ceased attacks on Israel and maritime traffic in the Red Sea. This is according to an undated letter addressed to the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, and published online by the group. ‘We are closely monitoring developments and declare that if the enemy resumes its aggression against Gaza, we will return to our military operations in the heart of the Zionist entity and restore the ban on Israeli navigation in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea,’ reads the letter signed by Major General Yusuf Hassan al-Madani, chief of staff of the Houthi army.
