Madrid (Spain), Nov. 12 (LaPresse) – The spokesperson for the pro-independence party Junts, Míriam Nogueras, has accused Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez of having lost his parliamentary majority. “His failure to honor his commitments has led to a breakdown, and now you find yourself without the majority needed to govern, leaving the legislature paralyzed,” Nogueras said in parliament after Sanchez’s address. “The consequences of their failures are their responsibility, not Junts’,” she added. In recent days, Carles Puigdemont’s party decided to break the 2023 agreement with the PSOE that had led to Pedro Sanchez’s appointment as prime minister. Despite the rupture, the Socialist leader has expressed his intention to govern until the next elections, maintaining an “outstretched hand” toward Junts. In her speech, Nogueras raised the tone, accusing Sanchez of failing to keep his promises to Junts and of being “a cynic and a hypocrite.” “It seems that he only cares about power,” she said, claiming that “the government only moves when it is under pressure.”
