Ukraine, Canada announces new round of sanctions on Russia

Milan, Nov. 12 (LaPresse) – Canada’s Foreign Minister Anita Anand has announced a new round of sanctions against Russia targeting those responsible for drone strikes and cyberattacks against Ukraine. The announcement came in the context of the G7 ministerial meeting, held at Niagara-on-the-Lake, near the U.S. border. The sanctions announced by Canada freeze all assets that the individuals or companies concerned may have in the country and prohibit Canadian financial institutions from providing them with services. Anand spoke alongside Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, who is also attending the meeting in Ontario.
