Rome, Nov. 12 (LaPresse) – “The budget law for 2026, for the first time in many years, does not include new cuts for local authority funding and, in fact, increases the fund for foster children from 100 to 250 million euros, stabilizes the 60 million euro contribution for summer centers, expands the vertical equalization fund and eases the restrictions of the doubtful receivables fund, responding to requests from municipalities for greater flexibility on current expenditure, even within the narrow scope of European constraints.” This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in a message sent to the 42nd annual Anci assembly being held at the Bologna Fair.
