Ukraine: Macron and Zelensky sign air defence agreement

Milan, 17 Nov. (LaPresse) – French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have signed a letter of intent on an arms agreement between France and Ukraine. The signing took place during a ceremony at the French air base in Villacoublay, near Paris. Yesterday, Zelensky spoke of “a historic agreement” that provides for “a significant strengthening” of Ukraine’s “combat aviation, air defence and other defence equipment”. A joint press conference is expected later this morning.
