USA, Trump insults a journalist: ‘Shut up, fatso’

Washington (USA), 18 November (LaPresse) – A new chapter in the difficult relationship between Donald Trump and journalists. The episode, which dates back to 14 November, has only now come to light. While talking to reporters aboard Air Force One en route to Florida, the president responded to a reporter who asked him a question about the Epstein case with an insult: ‘Shut up, fat lady.’ The unfortunate reporter’s “crime” was to ask Trump ‘what did Jeffrey Epstein mean in his emails when he said that you “knew about the girls”?’ “I don’t know anything about that. They would have announced it a long time ago. Jeffrey Epstein and I had a very bad relationship for many years,‘ replied the president, who then called on another journalist for the next question. But the first reporter continued to speak, asking another question about the case. At that point, Trump rebuked her, pointing his finger at her and saying, ’Shut up, shut up! Fat woman.”
