Rome, Nov. 21 (LaPresse) – Starting from December 2, Roberto Napoletano will take on the position of editor of the newspaper ‘Il Messaggero’. This was announced by Caltagirone Editore in a statement. Born in La Spezia in 1961, Napoletano returns to lead the Rome daily, which he already directed from 2006 to 2011, later moving on to direct Il Sole 24 Ore. Since April 2024, Napoletano has held the role of editor of Il Mattino in Naples. The publisher “thanks the outgoing editor, Dr. Massimo Martinelli, who will take on the direction of the Master in Journalism and Media Communication ‘Paolo Graldi’ and sends Dr. Napoletano its best wishes for the work ahead.” The current deputy editor of Il Mattino, Vincenzo Di Vincenzo, will at the same time take on the role of director of the Naples publication. “The company management has informed us that, starting from Wednesday, December 2, Roberto Napoletano, already in charge of the newspaper in the past, will be editor of Il Messaggero. The editorial committee thanks Massimo Martinelli for his dedication to Il Messaggero throughout his career, wishing him all the best both personally and professionally,” said the editorial committee of Il Messaggero.
