F1, Las Vegas Grand Prix: Norris on pole ahead of Verstappen, Leclerc ninth

Turin, Nov. 22 (LaPresse) – Lando Norris takes pole position in qualifying for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, the 22nd round of the F1 World Championship. On an evening marked by rain and a wet track, the British McLaren driver and championship leader set the fastest time of 1:47.934, three tenths ahead of Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Spaniard Carlos Sainz (Williams). Fourth place went to George Russell’s Mercedes, fifth to Oscar Piastri’s McLaren, and ninth to Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari, almost two seconds behind Norris. Lewis Hamilton, at the wheel of the other Ferrari, will start from last position.
