Ukraine: Costa meets Meloni and brings together G20 countries close to Kiev on peace plan

Rome, Nov. 22 (LaPresse) – Intensive diplomatic efforts are underway on the peace plan for Ukraine on the sidelines of the G20. Yesterday afternoon, European Council President Antonio Costa and Commission President Ursula von der Leyen had a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Later, they met with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, while this morning they met with French President Emmanuel Macron. Costa invited leaders who share the same ideals present at the G20 to a meeting to discuss the way forward for Ukraine: Italy, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Norway, Canada, Japan, Australia, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Spain. Costa will also invite all 27 EU leaders to a meeting on Ukraine on the sidelines of the EU-African Union summit in Luanda.
