Turin, Nov. 22 (LaPresse) – Former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro has been arrested by the Federal Police. Brazilian media reported the news, explaining that the decision was made by Alexandre Moraes, a Supreme Court judge. The arrest warrant was issued for violation of a precautionary measure, as Bolsonaro had been under house arrest since August, as well as for the police’s accusation that he was a flight risk. The former president was sentenced to 27 years and 3 months for attempted coup after his defeat in the 2022 elections.
