Rome, November 22 (LaPresse) – “For Christian education, the compass is Christ. Without His light, the educational mission loses its meaning and becomes an automatism devoid of the transformative power that the Gospel offers us.” This was stated by Pope Leo XIV in a video message in Spanish to the participants at the conference Sin identidad no hay educación at the Colegio Nuestra Señora del Buen Consejo in Madrid. “Therefore, it is essential to fully respond to a vocation and an original project, which are embodied in practices, curriculum, and the educational community itself. Identity is not an accessory or a trick made visible through isolated rituals or repetitive mechanisms lacking vitality. Identity is the foundation that shapes the educational mission, defines its horizon of meaning, and guides daily practices, both in teaching, assessment, and action,” the Pope added.
