Las Vegas (USA), Nov 23 (LaPresse) – Max Verstappen won the Las Vegas GP, the third-to-last race of the Formula One World Championship, finishing ahead of Lando Norris (who started from pole) and George Russell. The Red Bull driver remains in the title fight with two races and one Sprint to go, but it is now Norris who is closest to winning the World Championship, with a 30-point lead in the overall standings over his teammate Oscar Piastri (who finished fourth) and 42 points ahead of Verstappen. Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari finished only sixth, behind even Kimi Antonelli’s Mercedes. The Italian driver made a comeback from 17th to fifth, also having to serve a 5-second penalty for a false start at the finish line, which prevented him from passing Piastri. Tenth place for the other Ferrari of Lewis Hamilton.
