Ukraine, US senators: “For Rubio, Trump’s peace plan is a ‘Russian wish list’”

Halifax (Canada), Nov 23 (LaPresse) – US senators critical of President Donald Trump’s approach to ending the war between Russia and Ukraine say they spoke yesterday with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who reportedly told them that the peace plan Trump is pushing Kiev to accept is a “Russian wish list,” not the actual US plan. The peace plan, consisting of 28 points, was developed by the Trump administration and the Kremlin without Ukraine’s involvement, agreeing to many Russian demands that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has firmly rejected on numerous occasions, including the cession of vast territories. Trump claims he wants Ukraine to accept the plan by the end of next week.
