Skiing: World Cup, Shiffrin dominates Gurgl slalom for her 103rd victory, Dalla Mea 18th

Milan, 23 November (LaPresse) – Mikaela Shiffrin dominates the scene in Gurgl too. After leaving her rivals behind in Levi in her World Cup season debut between the slalom gates, the American repeated her success on the Kirchenkar in the Tyrolean resort, clinching her 103rd career victory in the top circuit, her 66th in slalom. While she seemed to be in control in the first run, Shiffrin opened up the throttle in the second, once again setting the fastest partial time to open up a gap of 1.23 seconds over Lara Colturi, who finished second on the podium, just as she did in Levi and twelve months ago in Gurgl. The podium was completed by Switzerland’s Camille Rast, who won the battle for third place with her teammate Wendy Holdener, who was neck and neck with her halfway through the race. Paula Moltzan and Katharina Truppe completed the top six.
