Football: Serie A, Lazio-Lecce 2-0 with goals from Guendouzi and Noslin

Milan, 23 November (LaPresse) – Lazio beat Lecce 2-0 in the postponed match of the 12th round of Serie A. The decisive goals were scored by Guendouzi in the first half and Noslin in the second half. It should be noted that Lazio’s Curva Nord was half-empty due to a protest by fans against president Claudio Lotito and the club. In the standings, Lazio joins Como with 18 points, while Lecce remains at 10. In the first half, Lazio immediately took a risk at the start when Lecce scored a goal with Sottil, which was disallowed due to a foul by the striker himself. This was followed by a long period of Biancoceleste dominance, which paid off in the 29th minute. Basic played a difficult ball backwards, which Guendouzi volleyed home to make it 1-0. Lecce tried to react but failed to create any real problems for the home defence. At the start of the second half, Lazio had a chance to make it 2-0 through Dia, but the referee and VAR ruled out the goal for a foul by the striker himself. Sarri’s team pressed on and came close to doubling their lead through Marusic and Isaksen, but Falcone kept Lecce in the game. Having escaped danger, Lecce tried to push forward with greater determination but failed to threaten Provedel’s goal except for a shot from outside the area by Kaba. It was Lazio who found the net on the counterattack through Noslin, making it 2-0. After seven long minutes of added time, Sarri’s boys can celebrate.
