Milan-Cortina 2026, Brignone returns to skiing after injury

Rome, 26 November (LaPresse) – Federica Brignone’s rehabilitation is proceeding according to plan, 237 days after her fall at the Italian Championships on 3 April, which caused her to fracture the tibial plateau and the head of the fibula in her left leg. The Women’s World Cup holder has completed the first part of her physical rehabilitation at JMedical in Turin and has recently been given the green light by the FISI Medical Commission to proceed further with her recovery plan, which includes additional work on the slopes. She therefore took to the snow in Cervinia, where she completed a few laps on touring skis, accompanied by federal technicians. The aim at this stage is to add stability and confidence to her programme, objectives that the champion from Valle d’Aosta will continue to pursue in the coming weeks, alternating between weight training in the gym and further days on the slopes.
