Budapest (Hungary), Nov. 29 (LaPresse) – “The only solution is for Ukraine to become a buffer state between Russia and NATO again.” This is Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s proposal to end the conflict between Moscow and Kiev. In an interview with Die Welt, the Hungarian politician described territorial concessions to Russia by Ukraine as “inevitable.” Orban envisioned a post-war agreement in which “the areas negotiated at an international peace conference would remain under Russian control, while all territory west of that line, up to Ukraine’s eastern border with NATO, would constitute a reduced Ukrainian state.”
