Rome, 30 November (LaPresse) – Iran is accelerating its arms acquisition programme for fear of an Israeli attack. This was reported by Israeli broadcaster Kan News, citing informed sources. According to the same sources, Tehran is making efforts to restore the capabilities of the Houthis in Yemen and is illegally introducing weapons into the West Bank with the aim of carrying out attacks in Israel. In addition, the ayatollahs are also reportedly re-equipping Hezbollah in Lebanon and terrorist organisations operating in Syria with weapons for possible actions against Israel. This is a veritable “arms race” that is “worrying” Israeli security sources.
