Rome, Dec. 3 (LaPresse) – “Defending Ukraine is one thing, fuelling a war is another: we are against long‑range weapons.” This is what Massimiliano Romeo, the Lega’s leader in the Senate, said on Ping Pong, Rai Radio 1. Answering a question about the postponement of the decree on military aid, which had been expected in cabinet tomorrow, Romeo added: “At this stage we need a measure that focuses on Ukraine’s security guarantees within the framework of the United States’ peace plan. A simple extension risks not being aligned with the negotiation process.”
Lega: “No long‑range weapons for Ukraine, extending aid would not be in line with negotiations”
