Madrid (Spain), 3 Dec. (LaPresse) – Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced that the government will allocate 1.28 billion euros by next year to promote electric cars. Specifically, 400 million euros will be provided as direct subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles, managed by the central government. Another 300 million will be used to install new charging points, and 580 million will be allocated to the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation (Perte) for Electric Vehicles, to strengthen production. “We must step on the accelerator for electric cars,” Sanchez said at the presentation of the Spain for Cars 2030 Plan, “we must not be passengers of history but take the wheel of the mobility revolution.”
