Pope: ‘The wonder of the humble, free to accept God’s gifts’

Milan, 8 December (LaPresse) – “Wonder” is ‘typical of the humble’. So said Pope Leo XIV during the Angelus dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. ‘The gift of the fullness of grace in the maiden of Nazareth,’ said the Pontiff, ‘was able to bear fruit because she, in her freedom, accepted it by embracing God’s plan.’ ‘The Lord always acts in this way,’ he concluded, ‘He gives us great gifts, but leaves us free to accept them or not.’
