Vatican City (Vatican), Dec. 9 (LaPresse) – “This morning, December 9, 2025, His Holiness Pope Leo XIV received in Audience, at the residence in Castel Gandolfo, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine. During the cordial meeting, which focused on the war in Ukraine, His Holiness reiterated the need to continue dialogue and renewed the urgent hope that ongoing diplomatic initiatives may lead to a just and lasting peace.” This was stated in a press release from the Holy See Press Office regarding the meeting between Pope Leo XIV and the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, which took place this morning at Castel Gandolfo.
