Rome, 11 December (LaPresse) – Oklahoma City and San Antonio are the other two semi-finalists in the NBA Cup after New York and Orlando. The Thunder beat the Phoenix Suns 138-89 at home. The OKC started off strong, reaching +20 in the first quarter, +40 in the third and a maximum lead of +53 in the fourth, securing their ticket to the semi-finals in Las Vegas. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the star of the evening with 28 points in less than 27 minutes, followed by Chet Holmgren with 24. This is the worst final margin (49 points) in the history of the Arizona franchise. For Oklahoma, this is their 16th consecutive victory (a franchise record), bringing their record to 24-1 to start the season (tying the all-time record). In the other semi-final, the Spurs, without Victor Wembanyama, won 132-119 at the Lakers, tying them in the Western Conference standings. Steph Castle had 30 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists, while Luka Doncic’s 35 points were not enough.
