Strike: Salvini, irresponsible to block the country, thanks to those who will work tomorrow

Rome, 11 December (LaPresse) – ‘I would like to thank in advance the thousands of workers who will be going to work tomorrow, enabling Italy to function.’ These were the words of Transport Minister Matteo Salvini, speaking at the presentation of the annual update of the strategic plan currently underway at the Parco della Musica auditorium in Rome. ‘I think it is irresponsible to bring the country to a standstill with yet another general strike at such a complicated time. Of 24 general strikes, 17 have coincidentally been on Fridays,’ he added. ‘You did well to call the meeting on Thursday, because Friday belongs to someone else.’
