Strait of Messina Bridge, Tajani: “Essential to boost Calabria and Sicily”

Milan, Dec. 15 (LaPresse) – Will the Strait of Messina Bridge be built? “It takes five or six years to build a bridge like this if the work is done well. It is essential to develop two regions like Calabria and Sicily, which face difficult situations. There cannot be a first- and second-class Italy.” This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, and Forza Italia secretary Antonio Tajani, in the latest episode of Pulp Podcast, the format hosted by Fedez and Mr. Marra.

“The mafia infiltrates everywhere in the world, organized crime exists, we must fight it day by day, we must adopt all necessary measures to prevent it from doing business and influencing contracts, but we cannot stop because of this concern. Like environmental risks, studies must be conducted. If things are done properly, in the end they can be done,” he added.

“These are serious projects, not at risk, approved. We need to start and act. We are waiting for the evaluations from the Court of Auditors, which has made observations; the Ministry of Infrastructure will have to respond, after which we can start,” Tajani emphasized.
