Ukraine, Putin: ‘Objectives will be achieved. Attack Europe? Absurd.’

Milan, 17 December (LaPresse) – ‘The objectives of the special military operation will definitely be achieved. We would prefer to do so and address the root causes of the conflict through diplomacy, but if the opposing country and its foreign supporters refuse to engage in substantive discussions, Russia will achieve the liberation of its historical territories by military means.’ This was reiterated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, referring to the war in Ukraine, speaking at an enlarged meeting of the Defence Ministry Council. This was reported by the Russian news agency Tass. Russian President Vladimir Putin called statements about the possibility of a Russian attack on Europe ‘lies and nonsense.’
