Milan, 18 December (LaPresse) – Fiorentina’s crisis continues, with another defeat in the Conference League. In Lausanne, the Viola lost 1-0 on the sixth day of the championship phase. The match was decided in the second half by a goal from Gabriel Sigua in the 58th minute, who beat Martinelli with a header from a cross by Kana Biyik. Fiorentina never got into the game and were unable to threaten goalkeeper Letica, while the hosts came close to scoring repeatedly both before and after Sigua’s goal. With their third defeat in their last four games, Fiorentina slip to 16th place in the table with nine points. However, the Viola are still in contention for the play-offs.
