Russia: Three dead in car explosion in Moscow, two of whom are police officers

According to the investigation, in the early hours of 24 December, two traffic police officers saw a suspicious person near their patrol car on Yeletskaya Street in Moscow. When they approached to stop him, an explosive detonated. The two police officers and the suspect died, the press office said. The Investigative Committee added that criminal proceedings had been opened.
