Turin, 27 December (LaPresse) – The relegation battle between Parma and Fiorentina ended 1-0 in the opening match of the 17th round of Serie A after the Christmas break. The match at the Tardini was physical from the first minute, with an evenly matched first half and a tense 0-0 at half-time. In the second half, Oliver Sorensen broke the deadlock with a header from outside the box in the 48th minute, assisted by Pellegrino. One yellow card each, first for Corvi and then for Pongracic. Parma thus earned three crucial points in the fight against relegation.
