Ukraine, Zelensky: “We believe in peace and fight to make it possible”

Rome, Dec. 31 (LaPresse) – “We believe in peace, we fight for it and we work to make it possible.” The statement came from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his New Year message on Telegram. “Another year comes to an end, earned thanks to the dedication and resilience, the principles and the daily work of Ukrainians. This year was made possible thanks to our defenders: to those who defended it not only for Ukraine, but for all those who value freedom and dignity,” Zelensky wrote, adding that “we move forward together, carrying with us what sustains us: experience and memory, the word of our land, hope and faith. We carry with us the ability to act together and our humanity – that which, despite everything, unites us. We believe in peace, we fight for it and we work to make it possible.”
