Rome, Jan. 1 (LaPresse) – The United States Department of Commerce disclosed some assessments overnight – ahead of the conclusion of the investigation expected on March 11 – regarding anti-dumping duties on certain Italian pasta brands. This was announced by the Farnesina in a statement. The post-preliminary analysis indeed significantly lowers the rates provisionally set last September 4: from 91.74%, duties drop to 2.26% for La Molisana, 13.98% for Garofalo, and 9.09% for the other 11 untested producers. The redetermination of duties – it is highlighted – “is a sign of the recognition by the U.S. authorities of the concrete willingness of our companies to cooperate. It is also a sign of the effectiveness of the support provided by the Farnesina and the Government from the beginning, which we intend to continue to provide in view of the final decisions.”
