Genoa, tragedy in Vesima: 30-year-old fisherman falls into the sea and dies

Genoa, Jan. 1 (LaPresse) – Tragedy on New Year’s Day in the western part of Genoa: a 30-year-old man died around midday after falling into the sea while fishing on a beach along the Vesima coastline. The young man was with another person when he suddenly collapsed—possibly due to a sudden illness—slipping from the rocks and falling into the water. Emergency services arrived with a medical car, but despite attempts to save him, there was nothing they could do. Carabinieri officers also arrived on the scene to carry out investigations and reconstruct the dynamics of the incident.
