Rome, 11 January (LaPresse) – Iranian police are increasing the ‘level of confrontation’ with protesters. Sardar Radan, commander-in-chief of the Iranian national police, said this morning that ‘the level of confrontation with rioters has increased.’ This was reported by Sky News. In the language of the Iranian regime, anti-government protesters are now referred to as rioters and terrorists. Radan also praised the ‘important arrests,’ stating that ‘those primarily responsible for last night’s unrest have been arrested.’ It remains difficult for Western media to follow what is happening in the country, including human rights violations, as the government has blocked access to the Internet.
