Rome, 14 Jan. (LaPresse) – “No fear. Appeals may be filed, but I don’t believe they will be upheld.” This is what Justice Minister Carlo Nordio said on the sidelines of the presentation of his book Una nuova giustizia, in response to a question about appeals to the Administrative Court regarding the referendum. “I believe it is good that there are diverse positions on the referendum, and above all expressed in a calm, rational, and essentially legal manner, even more than politically or emotionally. No reform is perfect, and I have said several times, and I repeat, that there are good reasons to comment critically as well, but good reasons must yield to better reasons,” added the Minister of Justice. Positions against the sortition, Nordio adds, “are unfounded.”
