Milan, 14 January (LaPresse) – Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has confirmed that searches were carried out overnight at the headquarters of her party, Batkivshchyna, and has categorically rejected allegations of alleged corruption by MPs. Tymoshenko said in a Facebook post that more than 30 armed individuals raided the party headquarters without presenting any official documents to justify the search. She called the searches a “grand public relations move” and said that during the investigation, her work phones, parliamentary documents and personal funds declared in her official statement were seized. Tymoshenko is accused of corruption and, according to the investigation, allegedly bribed MPs to vote for bills according to her instructions. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine.
