Football: Serie A League, Lautaro Martinez named player of the month for December

Rome, 14 January (LaPresse) – The EA Sports FC Player of the Month award for December has been given to Inter Milan footballer Lautaro Martinez. The trophy will be presented before the Inter-Lecce match, scheduled for Wednesday 14 January at 8.45 p.m. at the “Giuseppe Meazza” stadium in Milan. Online fan votes combined with individual statistics saw Lautaro Martinez emerge as the winner, beating champions such as Hojlund (Napoli), Pulisic (Milan), Scamacca (Atalanta), Vlasic (Torino) and Yildiz (Juventus). The six players were selected based on advanced analysis by Kama Sport, using tracking data recorded with the Hawk-Eye system. The rating system considers not only statistical data and technical events, but also positional data. This allows for the analysis of crucial aspects such as movement without the ball and therefore optimal movements, game choices, and contribution to the technical and physical efficiency of the team, which allow for an objective and qualitative assessment of performance. The final calculation took into account matchdays 14 to 17 of the 2025/2026 Enilive Serie A season.
