Iran, Darzi at the UN: “US seeking a pretext, fomenting unrest”

New York (New York, USA), Jan 16 (LaPresse) – “With the hollow pretext of concern for the Iranian people and claims of support for human rights, the United States is trying to present itself as a friend of the Iranian people, while at the same time laying the groundwork for political destabilization and military intervention.” This was said by Hossein Darzi, Iranian Deputy Ambassador to the United Nations, in his speech at the UN Security Council, sharply attacking the United States for what he described as “direct involvement in fomenting unrest in Iran up to violence.”
