Seoul (South Korea), Apr 4 (LaPresse) – South Korea's Constitutional Court has dismissed President Yoon Suk Yeol from office. In the nationally televised verdict, Seoul's acting head of the court, Moon Hyung-bae, said the eight-member court had upheld Yoon's impeachment. ‘The defendant not only declared martial law, but also violated the Constitution and laws by mobilising military and police forces to obstruct the exercise of legislative authority,’ Moon explained. The now former president apologised to the country.
