Signorini case: Mediaset reports Corona and requests social media ban

Milan, 21 January (LaPresse) – Mediaset and Alfonso Signorini have asked the Milan District Anti-Mafia Directorate to take action to request a preventive measure against Fabrizio Corona that would prevent him from using social media channels, electronic devices and telematic platforms to disseminate content deemed harmful, such as that at the centre of the episodes of the programme “Falsissimo” in which he accused the self-suspended host of Big Brother of sexual assault. The request was signed by lawyers Salvatore Pino, representing Mediaset, and Domenico Aiello, representing Signorini, who is under investigation for sexual assault and extortion in the investigation that arose from the “Falsissimo” interview with former Big Brother contestant Antonio Modugno. The Berlusconi family’s company has also reported the former celebrity agent to the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office for aggravated defamation and threats against the company’s top management. Signorini has also filed a lawsuit in recent weeks for which Corona is under investigation for defamation and violation of privacy laws.
