Rome, 24 January (LaPresse) – “We can understand the outrage, but in Switzerland we have different procedures from those in Italy, and the two legal systems should not be superimposed on each other. We must respect the separation of powers, and politics must not interfere. The justice system must conduct its investigations transparently and pay for any mistakes. The same applies at the political level.” This was stated by Swiss President Guy Parmelin in a video posted on the Blick news site, following criticism from the Italian government over the release of Jacques Moretti, manager of the Le Constellation nightclub in Crans-Montana.
