Rome, Jan 25 (LaPresse) – “Even these days, Ukraine is hit by continuous attacks that leave entire populations exposed to the winter cold. I follow with sorrow what is happening, I am close to and pray for those who suffer. The continuation of hostilities, with increasingly severe consequences for civilians, widens the divide between peoples and moves a just and lasting peace further away. I urge everyone to further intensify efforts to put an end to this war.” This is what Pope Leo XIV said during the Angelus in St. Peter’s Square.
